KMA presents 14 million-cedis building items to school

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has presented 100 bags of cement and some electrical materials valued at about 14 million cedis to the Patase M/A Junior Secondary School (JSS) in Kumasi.

This was in line of a promise made by the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Maxwell Kofi Jumah, to assist the school with building materials.

Mr Moses Kyei, assembly member for Patase, who presented the items on behalf of the KMA, asked the School’s Management Committee (SMC) and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to ensure that the items were properly used.

Mr Kyei noted that if all stakeholders in education played their expected roles there was no way the performance of pupils and students would not go up.

Mrs Bridget Opoku-Agyeman, the Headmistress, said the school was grateful to the assembly and gave the assurance that the items would be judiciously used.
