KMA elects new Presiding member

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has elected Abraham Boadi as the new presiding member.

The assemblyman for the Nhyeaso electoral area went unopposed for the position.

He pulled 110 ‘YES’ votes as against the 20 who voted ‘NO’ in the Tuesday elections.

He has been sworn into office by the Kumasi High court judge, Justice Nicholas Abodakpi.

Addressing the house after his election, Mr. Boadi, popularly known as Opooman, promised to unite the assembly for the smooth running of their operations.
