Kintampo disaster: Dr Bawumia visits bereaved families

The Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is on his way to Kintampo to assess the severity of the disaster where about 20 people died when a tree fell on them.

He will also visit the bereaved families, Wenchi Senior High School and the hospital where over a dozen revellers who were also injured are receiving treatment.

The disaster occurred on Sunday when it rained amidst heavy storm.

Dr Bawumia is accompanied by an entourage.

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who is out of the country and the Tourism minster Catherine Afeku have also expressed their condolences to the bereaved families in separate statements.
