Hohoe, Sept 3, GNA – Julijune Acquaye, a five-year-old kindergarten pupil of Holy Rosary Preparatory School in Hohoe who could not be found by parents a day earlier, was on Wednesday morning retrieved from a septic tank dead.
Madam Veronica Okine, mother of the deceased, caused announcements of her missing daughter to be made on the local Lorlornyo FM on Tuesday. She said the deceased, who was under the care of her aunt, could not be found after she (mother) returned from the market at about 1600 hours compelling her to report the disappearance of her daughter to the police.
The distraught mother said a search party discover her body in the septic tank.
Mr Daniel Ablordey, the Hohoe District Police Commander who confirmed the incident, confirmed the story and said police are investigating. 02. 09. 09
