Ketu District Assembly elects new Presiding Member

Denu, Oct; 29, GNA – The Ketu District has at an extra-ordinary meeting on Friday at Denu elected Togbui Awusu III, a Divisional Chief of Afife and a Government Appointee of the Assembly, as its new Presiding Member (PM). Togbui Awusu, the sole contestant, got 63 votes three against. The new PM, thanked members of the Assembly for the confidence reposed in him and said he would unite members of the Assembly for the development of the District. Mr Kofi Dzamesi, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, urged the members to work assiduously towards the development of the area. Mr Charles Agbenaza, MP for Ketu South, appealed to the people to ensure peace and unity to move the area forward.
