KETASCO wins human rights quiz

Accra, Nov. 19, GNA – Keta Secondary School on Monday emerged the winner of a national human rights zonal quiz competition organised by the Commission of Human Rights and Administration (CHRAJ). Presbyterian Secondary School (PRESEC – Legon) was the first runner up while Ofori Panin Secondary School (OPASS) was adjudged the second runner up. Ms. Elizabeth Kufuor, Greater Accra Regional Director for CHRAJ, said the quiz was part of activities to commemorate the World Human Rights Day, which falls on December 9. The quiz is to fulfil its constitutional mandate of educating the public on fundamental human rights. She said CHRAJ had decided to create human rights clubs in some second cycle institutions to enable the youth to appreciate their rights and to ensure protection of others as well. Participating schools and contestants received a set of books and certificates as prizes.
