Kennedy Agyepong withdraws support for Delta Force

Barely a week after daring the National Security minister Mr Albert Kan Dapaah not to touch members of New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group Delta Force, maverick politician Kennedy Ohene agyepong has taken a new direction.

The NPP firebrand, who condemned the latest action of the group at a Kumasi Circuit Court on Thursday, has revealed that the group is a disgrace and therefore does not want to associate with them in anyway.

The group emerged strongly after the NPP lost the general elections to the NDC in 2008 and has since been a force to reckon with within the rank and file of the party.

Speaking on the boiling point on his station Oman FM on Thursday evening, Mr Agyepong he said their conduct smacks of a disgrace to the party and the president reiterating the need for them to be dealt with to serve as a deterrent to others.

“Truth be told, you can never justify an action like this….no one can defend them on this action, they didn’t do well at all…they have disgraced all of us” he said on Accra-based Oman FM.

“Initially, I supported them because I considered how they have suffered for the party to win power and how they were unemployed when their friends in the NDC were gainfully employed…,” he added.

“I am appealing to them to come out of their hide outs and surrender and hand themselves over to the police so they face they punishment because I would never support such nonsense because you are not the only ones who suffered for the party.

“I was brought up in a home and I would never countenance on this and neither is Nana Addo as a law abiding person also happy, I have vowed to be behind you but I would never support such disgraceful act…,” he added.
