KEEA MCE hands over to Minister

Mr Isaac Kweku Sam, the Chief Executive of Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Assembly, has handed over the administration of the assembly to the Central Regional Minister, Mr Aquinas Tawiah Quansah.

This follows the end of his constitutionally mandated four-year tenure which started on 7th December 2011.

Speaking at the brief ceremony at the Assembly on Tuesday, Mr Sam expressed gratitude to President John Mahama for giving him the opportunity to serve the people, and the staff of the Assembly for their collaboration during his tenure.

Describing him as ‘slow but sure’, Mr Quansah commended Mr Sam for his diligence and commitment throughout the four year period which led to the location of several developmental projects in the municipality.

Until a new Chief Executive is nominated, the Regional Minister will handle the administration of the municipality.

Mr Sam, 64, a former Deputy Regional Director of the National Commission on Civic Education, (NCCE) replaced Reverend Veronica Essuman Nelson, who resigned from office in 2011 for no assigned reasons.
