Kassena Christians goes to the aid of orphanage

The Kassena/Nankana Association of the Ola Cathedral Catholic Church in Tamale, has presented assorted items to the Tamale Children’s Home.

The items included quantities of rice, maize, soft drinks, biscuits, Milo, milk, toiletries, used clothes and among others.

Mr Sepaga Richard Achinani, Chairman of the Association who presented the items to the home on Sunday said the group was touched by the plights of the inmates hence the donation.

He said as Christians, the members share with the society the little they have especially to the disadvantaged.

He urged Christians to demonstrate love, care and moral responsibility towards humanity, since God loves humankind and therefore followers of Christ must equally love each other to promote peace and development.

Mr Achinani appealed to the public to eschew acts that could mar the peace of the area especially as the country approaches the December 7 polls.

“We must all love peace for the development of our nation,” he said.

Madam Abu Sulemana, Child Care Assistant of the Home commended the Association for the philanthropic gesture and appealed for more support from benevolent members of the society.
