Kasapa Donates to Sunyani Children’s Ward

The management of Kasapa Telecom Limited, has donated fifty bed sheets and an Amgo Home Work Phone with five hundred thousand cedis credit, valued at eight million cedis to the Children’s Ward of the Brong Ahafo Regional Hospital in Sunyani.

Kasapa Home Work is a service designed for Ghana with lower rates than other networks.

Making the presentation, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Robert N. Palitz, said the company’s love for children was the motivation factor for the donation which also forms part of their social responsibilities.

He explained that it is very necessary for parents and guardians to be able to communicate with health staff and their children on admission.

“We have come here to donate to the children’s ward because we want to make sure that parents and families keep in touch with health staff and their children on admission”, he said.

He added that because children are the future leaders of the nation, they should be taken care of properly to ensure that they grow up to become useful citizens. Mr. Palitz said telecommunication has become an important factor in modern administration and it is for that reason why Kasapa has been specially designed for Ghana.

He said Ghanaians spend less using Kasapa to call any number in the country than they would spend making the same call on other networks.

“We always try to do things for Ghana that are sustainable because if you do things which can not be sustained for communities, then there is no value to them”, he said.

Mr. Palitz noted that every patient has the right to have a clean environment when in the hospital and knowing the limited resources of the hospital, the company’s management decided to donate the fifty bed sheets to the ward to ensure the children have a little bit of colour in their lives.

Receiving the items, the medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr Daniel Asare, thanked the donors and pledged on behalf of the hospital staff to put them to good use as well as maintain them.
