Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has praised the dedication and attitude of his players, insisting the team is firmly on the right path as they continue their push to return to continental football.
Speaking after his side’s recent performances, Zito credited the squad’s growing mentality for their resurgence.
“Hard work, dedication and attitude did the magic for us,” he told 3Sports, highlighting a renewed sense of belief within the Porcupine Warriors camp.
The Kotoko boss also appealed to the club’s passionate fanbase, urging calm and patience as he works to rebuild a side capable of competing beyond domestic borders.
“I plead with the fans to be patient with the players. We will be back in Africa soon,” he assured.
With the Super Clash win over Hearts of Oak reigniting optimism, the coach says he is determined to restore the club to its traditional status as one of Africa’s elite sides.
For now, Kotoko fans will be watching closely as the team turns promising performances into what Zito hopes will be a long-term competitive revival.
