Kaneshie floods after heavy rains

A downpour on Friday, 16 June, 2017 has resulted in flooding at Kaneshie in the Accra metropolis.

Kaneshie is a busy market area in western Accra and also home to many transport stations that shuttle travellers to and from the capital.

The extent of damage is not immediately known but traders had to pack their wares and seek shelter under makeshift structures.

The public is advised to avoid using Kaneshie or any other flood-prone areas or remain indoors if they have nothing important doing in these areas.
