Kanda Overpass Opened On June Four

Accra, 4 June The Ministry of Roads and Transport has announced that the Kanda overpass , the latest road to be constructed in Accra, has been opened to traffic to ease congestion and allow ancillary works around the bridge to be completed faster. In a statement issued in Accra, the Ministry said this has become necessary due to the recent road traffic congestion in the city. It said although traffic management measures have been taken as part of the works to reduce the inconvenience and delays, these have not been adequate to contain the present situation. The statement said mechanisms would be established on Graphic and Liberation roads and other congested areas to improve traffic flow. “We plead with the public to bear with us in this ongoing exercise and to comply with all directional and warning signs provided in the construction areas”.
