Kade chief appeals for support to complete library project

Pursuant to his vision to awash his town with unprecedented development to rival other developed towns, education-focused Chief of Kade, in the Eastern Region, Osaberima Asare Twe II, is appealing to Kade natives far and near, to help him complete an ultra- modern library project, which has been left unattended to for many years.

Last week, August 14, this year, the affable chief met with the heads of the local churches in his town, and the Kwaebibrem District’s Education Officer to appeal to their conscience on the need to complete the library project, which was started with HIPC funds under the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

Osaberima Asare Twe II’s motive for the project, the paper gathered, is to help curb the situation where children wonder about in the night at wake -keepings when they could use those precious times to engage in research that could benefit the community and the nation.

The mining consultant told this paper after the meeting that “I want my town to develop, and we can only develop when our children, who have completed university, are able to research on topical issues that would help develop the town and nation”.

The library, according to the chief, would also have an ICT facility to encourage the general use of technology by the students and residents in the town.

Osaberima Asare Twe II, more so, expressed his profound gratitude to First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, for her recent donation to the Kade Hospital, pledging that his community would ensure that the equipment would be well maintained.

“I notice the government is doing all in its power to ensure there is more development in the country, so, we as a community will also do our part to complement the effort of the government, but I will plead that Kade has a chief so government should not pass us by in the sharing of the national cake,” he noted.
