KABA was rushed to the hospital from a popular prayer camp – Report

News of the sudden and untimely demise of ace radio broadcaster, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA has left many people in shock and disbelief in denial of the fact that the icon is no more.

However, events leading to the death of the “Eko si sen” radio show host appear to be trickling in bit by bit and a trajectory of events leading to his death are starting to be made clear.

In trying to get the accurate story leading to the death of the journalist, many accounts to the story have come out. One report emanating from peacefmonline.com revealed that the radio personality was rushed to Korle-Bu from a popular Prayer Camp off the Nsawam road.

The account indicated that the journalist was taken in ill at the prayer camp upon recommendations. The background to this account has it that, prior to the unfortunate incident, Kaba reported to work but complained about his health which caused him to be taken to the said prayer camp for attention.

It went on to reveal that operators of the Prayer Camp requested for the journalist to be taken to the hospital to receive immediate medical attention due to his deteriorating condition or low sugar level; a claim yet to be verified and confirmed by the police.

The journalist who was rushed to the Surgical/Medical Emergency (SME) Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital was pronounced dead on arrival. Further tests conducted however revealed that the journalist reportedly lost his life due to a condition known as hypoglycemia.

When the news of his passing started spreading on social media, some collegues of the top journalist ‘stormed’ the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to verify the rumors for themselves only to be told that it was true.

The news of the journalist’s passing has spread across the length and breadth of the country triggering messages of condolence to be pouring in from all parts of the country.
