KABA died on my laps – Mother reveals

Madam Felicia Amoabeng, mother of the late broadcaster Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA), has disclosed exclusively to Kasapa News that her son died on her laps Saturday dawn.

Speaking to Osuani Afrifa at her son’s residence at Abeka Free Pipe a suburb of Accra, Madam Felicia Amoabeng said she called her son Friday evening to join her for an all-night service but KABA said he was not feeling well and therefore cannot make it.

She said she was very disturbed throughout the all-night service and as such rushed to see her son right after the all-night service.

Madam Felicia Amoabeng said upon reaching her son’s house, KABA’s condition had not gotten any better and so rushed him to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in the company of his driver.

The sorrowful old woman said “my son died on my laps without saying a word to me”.

KABA passed on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra following a short illness.

He was host of Asempa FM’s popular afternoon political show, ‘Eko Sii Sen’.

KABA used to host Adom TV’s morning show – Badwam – before taking on the Ekosii Sen mantle from Kwabena Bobie Ansah.

He has had stint with Top Radio in Accra before joining the Multimedia family. He left behind a wife and a daughter.
