Staff of Ghana’s Judicial Service are revisiting their strike action after calling it off earlier this year.
JUSAG members embarked on an industrial action in May over unpaid outstanding allowances detailing leave, fuel, overtime, and other allowances.
President of the group, Alex Nartey following their resolve to call off the earlier strike, told Starr News they had reached an agreement with the Labour Minister Haruna Iddrisu who assured them government is working on a fair payment plan for them.
But a statement signed by JUSAG Deputy General Secretary reveals otherwise.
“We are disheartened that all efforts to realize the payment of our allowances amicably have proved futile”.
The Statement further details a new schedule for industrial action starting Monday November 2.
“Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th November, 2015 all members are to wear red arm bands at work nationwide.
“This will be followed by partial withdrawal of service where all staff are expected to report to work at 12noon.
“On Monday November 9 all members are to embark on indefinite strike nationwide should the earlier efforts fail to catch government’s attention,” the statement further instructed.
