JUSAG declares indefinite strike over unpaid salaries

Judicial service workers have declared an indefinite strike over their unpaid salaries.

The agitating judicial service workers on Thursday protested the non-payment of what they call their consolidated salaries at the court premises.

They claim government doesn’t appear to be serious about their demands for the payment of their consolidated salaries.

Announcing the strike Thursday morning, the President of the Judicial Service Alex Nartey stated that after a notice was served to government in June 2015 over the non-payment of their consolidated salaries, they are yet to see any concrete measures being put in place to ensure that their salaries are paid.

According to him, government has not been fair to judicial service workers hence the decision to withdraw all services with immediate effect.
