June Four Movement lauds Vice President’s re-nomination

Wa, Aug. 09, GNA – The Upper West Regional branch of the June four Movement on Tuesday commended President John Evans Atta Mills for re-nominating Vice-President John Dramani Mahama as his running mate for next year’s election.

The movement said in a statement that that with the re-nomination of Vice President Mahama, the battle ahead of the National Democratic Congress was half won.

“This team of incorruptible and impeccable honesty, God-fearing and undoubted humility will actually have no problem leading our great Party to victory in the 2012 election”, it said.

The statement appealed to all followers of the party to welcome the President’s decision and rally round the two leaders of the Party to propel it to victory in the election.

The statement said Ghanaians were discerning and would be guided by the achievements the President and the Vice President and give the NDC a landslide victory.

The statement said any attempt to give power to any other group under the guise of “property owning democracy” would derail the “Better Ghana” agenda.
