July 3 declared public holiday

Accra, June 28, GNA – The Ministry of the Interior on Wednesday declared Monday July 3, 2006 as a Public Holiday.

A statement signed by Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, sector Minister reminded the public that Saturday July 1, 2006 (Republic Day) is a statutory Public Holiday.

“In view of the fact that the day falls on Saturday, His Excellency, the President by Executive Instrument has declared Monday, 3 July 2006 as a public Holiday,” the statement said. It said the day should be observed as such throughout the country.
