Judicial Service suspends sittings

Accra, April 27, GNA – The Judicial Service said on Thursday there would be no sitting at the 28th February Road Courts until further notice.

A statement signed by Ms Aku Kutts, Public Relations Officer for the Judicial Service, advised the public to keep off the court premises. A section of the court building collapsed on Wednesday injuring two persons, one seriously.

Ms Kutts said the management of the Judicial Service would meet soon to decide the next course of action with respect to those, who have cases pending at the courts.

Wednesday’s accident was not the fist at the court. One of the circuit courts caved in last year after a heavy rainfall.
