Judicial Service staff angry over interdiction of registrar

Staff of the Judicial Service are holding a crunch meeting to press home their demand for the reinstatement of a court registrar.

Catherine De Souza has been interdicted for a mix up in the hearing of the multiple suits filed by embattled High court Judge Paul Dery.

Her mistake reportedly led to the wrongful dismissal of the Dery contempt suits by Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

But her colleagues are agitating over her interdiction claiming that if the Judge who issued the ruling has been pardoned then De Souza must also be pardoned.

The Judicial service staff have resolved to petition the management of the Judicial Service for the release of their colleague.
