The Commission of Inquiry established by President John Dramani Mahama to look into judgement debt payments and other related matters is scheduled to resume sitting, a statement has said.
The statement issued on Monday, March 10 by George William Dove, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Commission, noted that public sitting will resume from Monday, March 24 at a new location.
The location is the former offices of the Constitutional Review Commission (CRC) in Cantonments, Accra, the statement noted.
The Commission will sit from Monday to Wednesday from 10:00am to 4:00pm on each day.
“However, the Commission may sometimes sit on Thursdays to hasten its work,” the statement said.
The Commission has invited memoranda from persons who intend to testify but may not want to be present.
“The Commission wishes to assure persons who may testify or assist the Commission in its work that their identities will be protected and their safety guaranteed.”
The statement, however, mentioned that those who would want to testify before the Sole Commissioner may do so by first reporting at the Commission’s office to give their statement.
“The Commission will then schedule a date for them to give evidence.”
