Jubilation greets early results in Ho municipality

Ho, Dec. 30, GNA – The District level elections ended

peacefully in the Ho Municipality, where pockets of jubilation

greeted early results. Clusters of anxious supporters were waiting expectantly for the

results to be declared when the GNA visited some of the polling

stations in the Municipality. Mr Vincent Segbedzi, 53, the incumbent, won the Bate Gbloefe

seat with 462 votes followed by Osei Tawiah with 426 votes. Mr Adobia Confidence Kobla had 197 votes and Mr Paul Aba,

17 votes. Ms Vivian Apau, the Returning Officer said she could not give

any further details due to poor visibility. Mr Eric Gakogo polled 505 votes out of total of 809 votes cast,

with two spoilt ballots to win the Fiave seat in the Ho Municipal

Assembly. He was followed by Mr Michael Kwaku Huze with 181 votes and

Ms Araba Techie-Menson with 121 votes. Less than 10 percent of the total 9,243 registered voters in the

electoral area took part in the elections.
