The Juaso Citizens Association of New York, USA, have donated items valued at 24 million cedis to the Juaso District Hospital.

The items were made up of four colour 20-inch multi system television sets and four rechargeable emergency fluorescent lamps.

Making the presentation at Juaso in the Asante-Akim South District, Mr. Kwame Opoku, President, said the association has placed development and assistance to the Juaso hospital on its priority programme.

He explained that for this reason, the association is poised to committing more financial and material resources towards uplifting and bringing the hospital to a status that would help it to deliver quality services to the people.

Dr Yeboah Awudzi, District Director of Health Services, who received the items, appealed to philanthropists to provide video decks that could be used along side the television sets for educating in and out-patients on health matters.

Dr Awudzi also appealed to the Ministry of Health and other benevolent
