JSS student defiles a 12 year old

Kumasi, June 29, GNA – A Kumasi circuit court on Tuesday granted a 16 year-old junior secondary school student eight million cedis bail for defiling a 12 year-old girl.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and will re-appear on 18 July. Police Chief Inspector Janet Oseiwaah told the court that the accused and the victim both live with their parents at Ayeduase near the Kwame Nkrmah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In January the accused defiled the victim and warned her not to tell anybody about it otherwise he would harm her.

The prosecutor said the victim fell ill, complained of abdominal pains and when her mother inspected her private part she discovered that it was sore. She told the mother what happened to her and the accused was arrested.
