Journalists present materials on Ashanti to Minister

Kumasi (Ashanti Region) 17 Oct. ’98 Two journalists, Declan P. Harnett of the Sunday Times and Stephanie Billioud of the Euro News, both in London, on Friday presented a prototype magazine and a video tape featuring Ashanti Region, its investment opportunities, tourists attractions and other places of interest to Mr Daniel Ohene Agyekum, the Regional Minister in Kumasi.

The materials show business opportunities, places of interest and general tourists attractions and aim at giving Ghana a good image in Europe.

They were compiled after a tour of the region by the two journalists.

Mr Agyekum thanked them for the presentation. Speaking to a team of pressmen after the presentation, Mr Harnett said the political and economic stability in Ghana makes it more investment friendly compared to other countries in the West African sub-region and as such has to be featured in Europe to attract more investors.
