Journalist arrested for ‘trading’ nude pictures for sex

A Cape Coast-based journalist who has gained notoriety for collecting nude pictures of women and blackmailing them has been arrested by the police.

Emmanuel Orlando Matrevi’s stock-in-trade is threatening to publish nude pictures of ladies if they allegedly refuse him sex.

The 37 year old man works for Coastal TV in Cape Coast, 3news.com gathered.

The Central Regional Crime Officer, Chief Superintendent Baffour Appenteng told Onua FM’s Kwame Kakarba that the suspect has been pretending to be someone domiciling in abroad, which he used to lure the girls through social media.

After striking intimate relationship with the ladies, Emmanuel would then request for nude pictures which some of the ladies obliged, Mr. Appenteng said.

He then arranges to meet the girls at a location, after telling them he is in town.

Emmanuel now reveals his real identity and allegedly asks for sex from them or else will make the nude pictures public: some of the ladies gave in to his demand.

After series of sexual encounter with one of his victims, Chief Supt. Appentent said, the lady got fed up and reported his modus operandi to the police.

The accused was arrested and granted bail about a week ago, but days later another girl reported his nefarious activity to the police and was re-arrested.

Emmanuel’s iPad with the nude pictures is in the possession of the police but he has denied circulating any of the pictures. He would be arraigned soon, the police said.
