Josiah Aryeh threatens to sue “liar” Asiedu Nketia

The former General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Josiah Aryeh, has threatened to haul before court his successor, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, for defamation.

According to Dr. Aryeh, who is the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, allegations of thievery made against him by Mr. Asiedu Nketia are a complete fabrication.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia’s accusations followed Dr Aryeh’s accusation of Government officials in the Mahama administration as a bunch of thieves.

Mr Asiedu Nketia in his response on Monday stated that Dr Aryeh “stole two cars” belonging to the party when he was leaving office as General Secretary.

“Let Josiah Aryeh come to tell us that he indeed never stole two vehicles from NDC”, Mr Nketia challenged, adding that: “they have been with him and he has not returned them”.

But speaking to XYZ News on Strict Proof Monday, Dr. Aryeh described the allegations as “sheer stupidity” and complete “lies”.

“The only response that one can give to what he is doing is to sue the man in court…you are the General Secretary of a political party in power…and if somebody has stolen something why not report him to the Police and have him dealt with”.

Dr. Aryeh stated that he has never stolen any vehicle from the NDC, adding that the allegation by Mr. Asiedu Nketia is just to destroy him.
