Jomoro GHABA members give to Half Assini Hospital

Half Assini (W/R), Aug. 12, GNA – Members of the Jomoro District branch of the Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians Association (GHABA) on Tuesday presented a number of gifts, worth two million cedis to patients and health personnel of the Half Assini Government Hospital. The gifts, which included cartons of toilet soap, bed-sheets, toilet rolls and oranges, were presented by Miss Phyllis Ketemefi, District Chairperson of GHABA.

She said the donation was members’ widow’s mite to supplement government’s efforts at promoting good health of patients and health personnel.

Miss Ketemefi said members would soon resume periodic cleanup exercises at the hospital to ensure clean environment. Miss Naomi Okyireh, District Director of Nursing Services received the items on behalf of the hospital and thanked members of the association for the gesture.

She expressed the hope that other associations and individuals would emulate them.
