Dzodze (E/R), Aug. 16, GNA – The running mate to Professor John Evans Atta Mills, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Friday congratulated Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for being selected as the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo, Flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Mr John Dramani Mahama, who is also the MP for Bole-Bamboi said, “I cannot fail to congratulate Dr. Bawumia because “he is my junior brother. His father and my father were friends and the two of them are now dead leaving us the children to carry on with life.”
Giving a talk on the role of the student leader in an electioneering year at the end of the 12th Congress of the Teacher Trainee’s Association of Ghana – Volta sector at Dzodze, Mr Mahama said one’s political opponents should not be considered as an enemy.
He said, “an election year is not an ordinary one and that it involved the citizenry making a choice of people who will lead them for the next four years that will influence their living standards. “That choice should be made as to how a leader is able to convince the electorate persuasively devoid of rancour and fury to ensure that the one who is making the choice was entrusting his future into the hands of a
