Jobs must go to NPP members – Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa

Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa George Ayisi Boateng has stated that he will put supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of any other Ghanaian when considering persons for job opportunities.

According to Mr. Boateng, prioritising NPP members ahead of other Ghanaians is the right thing to do because the struggles of party supporters and loyalists won the NPP the 2016 elections.

“The job market is choked and it is highly competitive and this government is doing its best to create job opportunities [but] me for instance I told my people that it is NPP that is why I am in power so NPP man is my priority.

“My topmost priority is the problem of an NPP person before any other Ghanaian, take it or leave it and indeed I am not boasting,” Mr. Boateng told members of the NPP student wing, the Tertiary Students’ Confederacy Network (TESCON).

“I have started meeting the NPP groups and I tell you if I had my way any job opportunity will go to a TESCON member,” Mr. Boateng added.

Mr. Boateng also urged appointees under the Akufo-Addo led government to do same to ensure the NPP retains power for a long time.

“I know that my colleagues also have the same feeling except that because of IMF we cannot do anything now.

“So NPP member is my priority before any other Ghanaian, we are all Ghanaians but some are more Ghanaians than others,” Mr. Ayisi-Boateng added.
