Jobless nurses picket Ministry of Health

Members of the Coalition of Unemployed Private Nurses on Monday, 31 July picketed the Ministry of Health (MoH) over government’s failure to post them several years after completing colleges of health.

The group has accused government of discriminating against its members in the ongoing posting of health sector workers.

They said government has failed to provide them jobs despite several assurances.

The group postponed its planned picketing originally scheduled for Monday, 17 July to today, 31 July 2017.

The group, in a statement, said: “This change was necessary because of the encounter between the leadership and the Ministry of Health during our last meeting with them on the 13th July 2017. In the meeting was the Honourable Minister Mr. Kweku Agyeman-Manu, Mr Robert Kudjo (PRO MoH) and the Administrator (MOH).
