JHS Student Kills Security man

A 21-year-old Junior High School graduate, Stephen Azilah, is in the grips of the Juapong police for allegedly stabbing a 58-year-old private security man at Torgome, near Akuse.

The victim, Samuel Ananigo, met his untimely death while returning home from work. He chanced upon the accused assaulting his son near the Torgome Community cemetery, and intervened, attempting to collect the stick which Azilah was using to hit his son, Michael Ananigo.

That did not go down well with Azilah who pulled a knife from his pocket, and stabbed Mr. Ananigo several times under his left breast.

Some people who arrived at the scene, rushed the victim to the Akuse Government hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Azilah after the act, rushed home and locked himself in his room, but members of the community broke into the room and handed him over to the police.

Meanwhile, the Times newspaper gathered that Azilah had met Michael near the cemetery and accused him of spitting on him, an allegation Michael denied. Despite the denial, Azilah started beating Michael until Mr. Ananigo chanced upon them.

The Akuse police corroborated the story and said Azilah had been transferred to the Juapong Police Station.
