Jesus should be your core message, pastors told

Apostle Ebenezer Abebrese, Chairman of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, has called on pastors to ensure that Jesus Christ remained the core content of their message.

“Sometimes, there is the tendency for us to rather be the dominant force in the Church, instead of Jesus Christ. That is not right.”

Apostle Abebrese said this when preaching at the induction service of newly elected officers of the Tema Ministers Organization (TMO).

He said Jesus Christ was the main reason for any preaching and never the pastor.

Apostle Abebrese entreated all Ministers of God to lead exemplary lives that would encourage their congregations to also emulate them.

“As Ministers of God, we need to lead the way; People should be able to tell the difference and know that indeed, we are Men of God.”

He urged Christians to have love for one another adding that although humans were not perfect, love made it possible to over-look human weaknesses, and that: “if we continue to concentrate on each other’s short comings, we would not be able to move forward.”

The newly elected executive members were Rev. David Nabegmado-President, Apostle Lord Mensah-Vice President, Mr Michael Asenso-Secretary, and Rev Seth Adjei-Mensah-Assistant Secretary.

The rest are Mr Timothy Arthur Baidoo- Treasurer, Rev Joseph Minnow- Financial Secretary and Rev. Oheneba Baaj- Public Relations Officer.

The TMO is an association of Senior, Associate and Assistant Ministers of the Gospel, within the Tema Metropolis.
