Jerusalem rehabilitates Road

Mpem (B/A), Aug. 6 – The people of Jerusalem, near Nkoranza, in the Brong Ahafo Region, are through their own efforts rehabilitating a three-kilometre feeder road that links the town with Mpem and Nkoranza.

The road has been rendered impassable by recent rains, compelling the people to carry their farm produce to the Nkoranza market.

A prominent farmer in the area, Mr Obrefo Kwadwo Adjei, told the Ghana News Agency that large quantities of foodstuffs were going bad because of the situation.

Mr Adjei mentioned Mpem, Nyinase, Jerusalem and Kwafre as communities that use the road and where the bulk of foodstuffs sold at the Nkoranza market are produced.

He appealed to the Nkoranza District Assembly to liaise with the Department of Feeder Roads to help rehabilitate the road to save the people from further hardships.
