Ghana midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has completed a move to Brooklyn Football Club ahead of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season, marking the latest chapter in her impressive football journey.
The 31-year-old Black Queens star was officially unveiled by the US-based club on Wednesday, November 5, just a week after playing a key role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Cudjoe joins from DC Power United, where she spent the 2024/25 campaign, and is now set for her debut with Brooklyn FC when they host her former side DC Power FC at Maimonides Park on November 8, pending league and federation approval.
Brooklyn FC sporting director Kevin Tenjo praised the midfielder’s arrival, describing her as a “true leader” who will add invaluable experience and composure to the team.
“Jennifer is an experienced player and a true leader. Her composure, professionalism, and passion for the game will make a huge impact on our group,” Tenjo said.
A former Hasaacas Ladies standout, Cudjoe remains a key figure for Ghana’s national team. She was instrumental in the 2024 WAFCON, where Ghana clinched bronze after defeating South Africa on penalties, and also contributed two assists during the Black Queens’ emphatic 7-0 aggregate win over Egypt in the recent WAFCON qualifiers.
Her move to Brooklyn FC represents both a fresh challenge and an opportunity to continue inspiring the next generation of Ghanaian footballers on the global stage.
