Jehovah’s Witnesses to hold ‘Imitate Jesus’ convention

The Jehovah’s Witnesses say all is set for their annual gathering to aid people benefit practically from the example and teachings of Jesus Christ in Kumasi.

It is estimated that more than 40,000 people would attend the event to be held at Asokore-Mampong, beginning, August 7.

A press release signed by Mr Edward Appiah, the Convention’s Spokesperson, said it would be on the theme: “Imitate Jesus.”

It said the convention would examine Jesus’ life in such a way that would enable everybody regardless of their background, lifestyle or religion learn from his example and what he taught.

The highlight of the programme would be a keynote address titled “Concealed in Him are All the Treasures of Wisdom”.

It said the admission to the convention would be free.
