The Jasikan District Assembly, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and the Office of the Member of Parliament for Buem, Mr Daniel Kwasi Asiamah have jointly donated relief items to victims of fire disaster at Kute, in the Jasikan district of the Volta region.

The items include four bundles roofing sheet, 45 mini bags of rice, 10 cartons of edible oil and a cash of GH¢ 100 each, to the wives of the 10 household, whose compound dwelling was consumed by fire on February 6, this year.

Mr John Opoku Adjei, the Jasikan Coordinator of NADMO, who presented the items on behalf of the others, said the donation was to ameliorate the effects of the fire disaster.

Nana Kwame Enyino I, the Chief of Kute, who received the items, thanked the benefactors for their goodwill and promised that the items would get to the victims of the fire disaster.

Properties, including personal effects, food and an undisclosed sum of money were lost in the blaze, rendering the victims homeless at Kute.
