Japanese government to assist Nadowli Hospital with infrastructure

Nadowli, UWR, April 7, GNA – The Nadowli District Hospital would be provided with a female, male and children’s wards with a Japanese government’s grant this year, Mr. Abu Kasanbata, District Chief Executive of Nadowli has said. He said the hospital would also benefit from a modern kitchen facility, as well as an x-ray department under the package. He however could not tell how much was involved in the grant, but said part of the assistance would be used to purchase 60 hospital beds for the facility.

Mr. Kasanbata in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Nadowli on Tuesday said three memorandums had been signed between the Nadowli District Assembly, and the Japanese government towards the provision of the facilities. He said North West Consortium has been tasked to design the structures and layout of the projects for constructional works to begin. Mr. Kasanbata appealed to development partners to assist the district to overcome its development challenges in education and health.
