JAK’s remarks taken out of context – Agyapong

Presidential spokesman, Kwabena Agyepong has been responding to public concerns in reaction to the President?s instruction to media people to report alleged corruption in government to the police.

The President made the call when in his State of the Nation address on Tuesday.

Mr. Agyepong told journalists at the Castle today that the President?s remarks have been taken out of context.

?The President is not disabusing the minds of people about criticisms or about fighting corruption. There has to be some premise upon which we can launch investigations. Sometimes you have to put yourself in the shoes of the accused to understand how these things work,? he said.
