JAK Foundation holds workshop on Peaceful Elections

The John A Kufuor Foundation (JAKF) will hold a three-day workshop on the theme: “Towards a Peaceful 2012 Elections in Ghana” for 26 selected youth from tertiary institutions in the country.

The workshop which is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, 4th September- Thursday 6th September, 2012, in Accra, is being done in collaboration with the International Republican Institute (IRI) of the United States of America.

The event is under the JAKF’s ‘Rising Stars’ programme which seeks to nurture youth leaders with leadership skills into well-rounded products.

This premier workshop is focusing on peace-building in the run-up to next December’s elections and the selected participants from the different political divide was based on their visibility on their various campuses.

Former President Kufuor will address the opening ceremony at which chairmen of the various political parties will give brief remarks.
