Jailbird sentenced to seven years imprisonment

Juaso (Ash), Nov 15, GNA – A 28-year-old farmer at Juaso who confessed he returned from prison for the third time two months ago, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by the Juaso circuit court. Kofi Boateng pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing three bunches of plantain.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector S.K. Kassah told the court that on October 20 a witness who was returning from his farm saw Boateng in someone’s farm stealing plantain.

The witness informed the owner of the farm who lodged a complaint with the police, leading to Boateng’s arrest.
