Ivorian Refugees should undergo registration formalities

Kumasi, April 3, GNA – The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), has charged Ghanaians, who wish to host or are hosting Ivorian refugees, to report to the Ghana Immigration Service or NADMO Offices to enable them undergo registration formalities. It said it was important that government has information on the number of Ivorian refugees in the country for planning and other purposes.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs Vivien Akumia, Ashanti Regional NADMO Coordinator, and issued in Kumasi at the weekend.

The statement said the registration had become more necessary as the refugees kept pouring into the country due to the political crisis and tension in Ivory Coast.

It hoped the general public would collaborate with NADMO to ensure that the right thing was done for the safety of the refugees. 3 April 11
