I’ve you in my prayers – Mahama tells BECE candidates

President John Mahama has said he is praying for success for all students sitting the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

A total of 461,013 candidates from 14,267 public and private junior high schools are due to take part in the week-long external examination to enable them gain admissions into Senior High Schools.

The candidates; 239,963 males and 221,050 females, would be supervised by 15,695 invigilators.

WAEC said 57 visually impaired candidates would also take part in the examination.

It said the Council had also secured the services of 1,598 supervisors and 1,515 assistant supervisors.

In a tweet Monday morning, the President said: “To all BECE Candidates, you’re on my mind & in my heart. I pray for God’s Blessings & Success for you all”.
