I’ve never bought a ‘pin’ from government before – Asiedu Nketiah

In the wake of assertions and counter accusations of government officials and party faithful buying and hoarding state properties, the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has indicated that he never bought any property belonging to the State while his party was in government.

Citing an instance in his neighbourhood where he provided free potable water for the residents, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah stated that he did so from his own coffers adding, that he does not ‘deal with government’.

“Many people who are close to me know that I don’t buy things from government… Confiscated cars in the harbour and all these that these people have been talking about, I have never bought a pin from government”, he said.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah was speaking to Gifty Andoh on JoyNews’ news programme, The Pulse on Wednesday.
