It’s time for Society to give back to the Aged-Rev Jackson

Tema New Town, Dec. 22, GNA – The Rev Samuel Owusu Jackson, Founder of HATH Foundation, has re-emphasised the need for society to appreciate the role of the aged and provide them with the basic necessities of life. He expressed regret that most of the aged had been neglected by member= s of their family, accusing them of being witches and wizards.

Speaking at an end of year get-together organised for the aged in the Tema Metropolis by the Foundation, Rev Jackson said, the time had come for society to appreciate the invaluable contributions of the aged and to give back what was due them.

“Some of our aged parents have contributed their quota to our upbringing, and the development of our society. It is now time for us to appreciate and give back what is due them,” he said. Rev Jackson said the Foundation was in the process of putting up a recreational centre where the aged would congregate and have fun. Apart from meals, the Foundation provided the aged with free medical screening.
