‘It’s normal for us to fight’ – NDC’s Betty Mould Iddrisu

In a statement, Betty Mould Issrisu revealed that the NDC party continues to remain a strong political party and that such internal wranglings are “characteristics of politics”. “All these bodies and persons meet and run the NDC on a day by day basis.

I know because I am at the party office almost daily. Surely, there are disagreements sometimes publicly and others privately held and settled one way or the other. That is politics!,” she revealed. These comments by Betty Mould follows the recent verbal exchange between former chief of staff Valerie Sawyerr and founder of the NDC – Jerry Rawlings.

A development which has seen the council of elders meet to calm and weather the storms of disagreement. Meanwhile, the opposition party says it is committed to implementing the Kwesi Botchway report which spelt out the real reasons why the NDC lost power in the 2016 elections.
