It was not an insult -Tony Aidoo

Former Deputy Defence Minister under the NDC regime, Dr Tony Aidoo says he did not insult the president in the interview he granted Peace fm last Tuesday.

He said he criticized President Kufour on his conduct and characteristics, which is not strange in the world, for anybody could do so.

Dr Aidoo who spoke on Peace fm on Thursday said prior to their election into power, the NPP criticized the then President Jerry Rawlings for not being able to further his education after Secondary School level.

Dr. Tony Aidoo stated that, in his view, the NPP government and President Kufour should be grateful to him, for the criticism so that they can work on it for the president. He did not see anything wrong in saying that the president speaks like a dumb person when it is true that he lacks fluent speech.
