ISSER organises workshop on land reform in Wa

Wa, March 17, GNA – The Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) has embarked on a nation-wide programme to educate all stakeholders in land administration on the country’s land policy reform.

As a result a series of regional workshops have been planned for the regional capitals, Dr George Botchie, a Researcher with ISSER made this known to the Ghana News Agency in Wa on Thursday.

Addressing one of such workshops in the Municipality, Dr Botchie called on stakeholders in land administration to volunteer information that would help resolve the numerous land disputes.

Forty- five (45) participants made up of chiefs, opinion leaders, land agencies, non-governmental organisations and farmers attended the day’s workshop.

Dr Botchie said the United States Agency for International Development sponsored the workshop which exposed the participants to topics like the institutional and legal issues that affect land tenure in Ghana.
